SOURCE: 2007 Toyota 4 runner transmission filter and fluid change??

at 50,000 miles there is really no need. i would wait and save up that money and do a transmission flush 7- 10 quarts of toyota f-type fluid can be costly but a flush removes all of the fluid and garnish along with any fine shavings (normal wear and tear) out of the tranny and replaces it with new clean fluid. normal intervals would be at about 80-100,000 miles. you should be able to find preventative maintenance schedules in your owners manual. if not any repair facility would have it on their computer.

Where is the transmission drain plug on 97 mitsubishi mirage?

If you are referring to an automatic transmission, most manufacturers no longer put a drain plug on them. This is to prevent removal of the wrong plug when changing the engine oil. Also, since manufacturers recommend changing the transmission filter when the transmission oil is changed, having to remove the pan to drain the oil is incentive to replace the filter at the same time.

Iam getting a delay of a few seconds whenever i shift between neutral and drive or neutral and reverse on my 2007 nissan tiida cvt transmission.

Have the oil changed and the filter checked . I have a Mitsubishi lancer and it is in good nick but If I apply power before the shift happens it chirps the tyres . have the bands and clutch pack adjusted Run fault codes to check for faulty solenoids and servos.

Where is transmission filter

Hi there,

The Diamante transmission can actually have up to 2 filters - one internal & one external.

It is recommended to change both these filters when doing a transmission fluid change.

ONLY USE MITSUBISHI ATF - Do not use any other brand of fluid, or you will cause damage to the transmission (Mitsubishi fluid has special properties).

The internal filter is inside the transmission casing and is accessed by dismantling the trans casing - careful, as oil will escape from the trans when you remove this cover. See item # 29, in picture.

The external trans filter (miniature version of an engine oil filter) is mounted on the transmission body, which is located behind (or under) the battery compartment. See Item # 6 in picture.
