SOURCE: 2000 chevy s10 runs for a few minutes then dies.

I doubt very much this is electrical. Rather do a visual inspection for vacuum pipes that are leaking or have become dislodged especially around the throttle body(Where the throttle cable is connected to) and plenumb chamber. If you find a place that looks like a pipe needs to be connected there, hold it closed with your finger and see if the revs pick up slightly. If it does then look for the pipe that needs to go there. You shouldnt have any pipes hanging loose around the engine bay. If you dont find anything on the engine itself follow every little pipe to where it goes/connects to and do the same. This costs nothing and a mechanic will charge you an hours' worth of labour for doing the same. The engine's fuel/air mixture is being leaned out somewhere. You can perhaps have the CO content tested to confirm, as this is relatively inexpensive.

SOURCE: My 1997 dodge dakota dies

It sounds to me like you have an idle issue. Check for replacement of the I.A.C [idle air control] I hope that this helps.

It may be a problem with the TPS switch (Throttle Position Switch). Go to a local mechanic with a diagnostic tester to confirm.

Starts then dies immediatly

try giving a little gas when starting. If you get it to rev up and the only problem it dies with your foot off the gas then clean the throttle body. It may or may not help. Then replace the idle air control valve.

The motor tries to die when decelerating or stopped if i dont keep foot on gas pedal

It may be the idle position sensor. Take it to an autoparts store for a code. This are electronic sensors. Ask the guy where it is located in your particular car.

Yukon was running and all the sudden died started up service engine light came on idles super low in gear and dies unless you put foot on gas and brake if stopped

easiest & probably cheapest way is to run into an autozone or Pep Boys & get them to scan fro codes for free & go from there. Get back to us with code(s) unless it's a simple one & part is right there at store to fix it.
