2006 chevy malibu some times it starts and some times it cranks the starter works fine

I have a 98 grand prix has had to starters Battery new cable an still wont start solonid just clicks do it 30 times it will start.

Remove the starter and jump the connections to a Battery to see if it spins. Make sure you connect positive to the positve end and the neg to the neg end. Hope this helps.

i have this problem from time 2 time i have figured out it was the anti-theft system 2 reset the system put the key in the acc position for 10 mins then try to start it always works for me

i suggest removing the flywheel inspection cover, and rolling the engine over a little bit at a time, checking to make sure that there are no worn or broken teeth. also, make sure there is no lateral movement, which could indicate a broken flexplate. good luck.
