I own a 2002 Subaru Outback 2.5. My climate control cluster is not lighting up, fan still blows(only on windshield defrost setting), rear defroster doesn't work, ac doesn't work, heater works (again, only in defrost position). I checked all fuses only to be disappointed when none were blown. Has anyone had similar problems? If so, PLEASE give me some tips. I'm so frustrated right now I want to stab myself in the eye.

It is doubtful you can repair this yourself so I suggest you take it to a Subaru car repairer.

SOURCE: brake lights / horn / climate fans not turning on

Hi,

I suggest you check the main relays - any auto electrician should be able to find a faulty relay.

Safe motoring.

SOURCE: 2002 Subaru Outback compressor not engaging when A/C is on

There is also a switch that will not let it engage if the system is low on refrigerant. It is on the evaporator. Have the system checked to make sure it is full to save yourself alot of headaches. Good luck and have a good day.

SOURCE: Control panel won't work in my 2005 Subaru Outback

There is a problem with the faceplate. It controls the radio and the HVAC controls. See a Subaru dealer for replacement.

I have 99 bonneville the climate control is just 3 dashes and air is blowing from the defrost vents by windshield. I can not change any settings or turn off.

Could be the control module or the control on the dash.
The default action is to blow on the windshield to keep it clear.

Connection between Climate CTRL and the Radiator Fan?

the cooling fan is designed to come on when the setting is in defrost or A/C mode . the a/c compressor is set up to come on in the winter to help keep the seals flexible by running and cooling fans run to help provide air across the condenser and radiator to cool engine water and makes a/c cold in summer time use . cooling fan will cycle as it reads data from related sensors. this is a normal condition with your car

Climate Control A/C that constantly blows on windshield after coolant hose steaming leak.

You probably disconnected a vacuum hose that didn't get reconnected. The mode doors are controlled by vacuum and the default id the defrost mode.

A/C climate control in car will constantly blow on the windshield instead of at occupants.

It will not be the ac as it is cooling
It will be a problem climate control module and vent control system.
might be a vacuum hose that was disturbed during the hose replacement.

Defrost

Is it blows the air on dashboard, and on floor/legs or it is stuck in one position?

Climate controls

Car manufacturers use the defrost mode as a default for safety reasons. Being they want you to be able to defrost the windshield no matter what. So when something goes wrong the system automatically goes to the defrost mode. You most likely don't have the vacuum hose connected under the dash at the climate control assy. Or if this vehicle doesn't use the vacuum hose style you may have not plugged in one of the connectors under the dash or behind the climate control assy. Good luck.
