Your Idle Air Control Valve has most likely failed. This is a very common failure on the Fords (Any and all model)

Start with the vacuum hoses on the motor, this will do this. the vacuum hoses are rubber hoses three quarter inch in diameter on down to real small hoses and can be located anywhere on the motor or under the hood. Look for a hose off, cracked, broken, or loose at a connector.

It starts and will only stay running if I keep my foot on the gas. As soon as I let off the car dies.

sounds like idle control valve. allows air to get into the motor if the throttle body is closed. aka your foot off the gas pedal. sometimes you can try to clean them, but most times that doesn't work.

Drive vehicle down the road for 20 minutes and come to a stoplight engine stops when you take foot off gas peddle and go to apply brake. To keep vehicle from dying you have to hold the gas peddle down

Have you changed the timing belt? or timing belt guides? How many miles? This does not necessarily have to do with fuel.... Could have to do with air intake or timing as well....

Jeep 2002 grand cherokee dies unless i keep foot on the gas...

The idle relearn needs reset. Keep your foot on the gas at about 900 rpm. Make it idle for about 5-6 minutes. Slowly ease up on the gas until it will idle on it's own, it might take a while. After you get it to idle, it might be idling real low, but on its own, Let it sit and idle until for 20 minutes. After that it should be back to normal. You will have to do this every time you have the battery unhooked for a while.

Car dies when gas is pressed.

I suspect the throttle position sensor, does the engine keep running if you take your foot off the gas before it dies? Like you can keep stabbing at the pedal and make the engine barely run but keep going so long as you take your foot off at the right time, if so it's the throttle position sensor not working AT ALL... (TPS) - http://www.rockauto.com/catalog/raframecatalog.php?catalog=903&partnum=5S5050&a=UK903-5S5050 this is the part, its on the throttle body, you can check the cabling first make sure it's not just come loose (unplug and replug a few times and try the engine again)- If no difference then buy the part and fit it, one out one in. and I'd look for a cheaper price (around $40) this is just to show you what to look for on the throttle body.

My '98 Camry won't stay started. I start it and it just dies not matter how many times I try it. If I leave my foot on the gas it runs but at soon as my foot leaves the gas it dies.

What you have is a bad Idle Air Control ("I.A.C.") valve. This device admist a precise amount of air to keep the engine running at idle. This is a common issue. Get a new one from a dealer, and you will be up and running fine.
