How to know the reason is honorable.

If you disconnected the battery and the alarm sounded and you did not use your remote the vehicle went into theft mode you must disconnect the battery cables again and use your remote when the alarm sounds if that still doesn't work then reprogram the remote also check the remotes battery

Anti THEFT cuts off fuel pump and the ignition module. That is what it is for. The theft light on the dash should be on too. Something tripped the anti-theft system Try resetting the anti-theft module by locking and unlocking the drivers door with the key.

The anti theft is in the computer program. You may have to have it reflashed at the dealership.

You take it to a dealership. You should have just taken the Title to the dealer and paid $120 far a new key. (on that model they might need the car to scan the Computer for the key code.)

is anti theft light flashing?? if so crank engine for one second. leave key in on position until theft light quits flashing. cycle switch to off. try to start engine. if no start, possible fault with keyless entry sensor at key tumbler..
