Van won't start and the glow plug light stays on and the radiator fan screams. Checked all fuses, replaced them and it started. Drove for 10-15 minutes came home left van for several minutes came back and it wouldn't start. Today, I started it twice, on the third try it went back to the above problem. Any ideas? Thanks. Larry

I had similar problem with Durango and replaced the "brain" with a refurbished PCM -- google for reburbished PCMs and call the Florida Company and ask they guys there what they think. My fix was < $300.00 by replacing the brain.

The van was towed to a Freightliner Sprinter dealer in Inver Grove Heights, MN. So far it seems it is the ECM (Electronic Control Module). With parts and labor the bill is $2,800.00. Dang, Mercedes is expensive to fix. Think about that before you buy one. Thank you guys for checking out my question.I will post more after I pick the van up and have the bill in my hand. Take care.
Did the ECM solve the problem?
