Has 54000 km, serviced regularly, when accelerating between 60-80 km, stutters (for want of a better word) but doesn't stall. When checked on the computer diagnosis nothing found. I get great gas mileage - 500 km per 40 litre tank city driving. Is this the fuel injector?

What engine code is stored in the computer? You may have a bad TPS (throttle postioning sensor), or a bad O2 sensor. Auto Zone can retrieve the code for you, and tell you what sensor it is related to.

Check or replace EGR valve and evpf sensor since they control idle speed.

The throttle position sensor has a small amount of adjustment in it. The plastic case has a slight slot in it. On the opposite side of the TPS on the air horn you will see a throttle stop with a hard to move screw. You need to get some play on that screw to have slack to adjust the TPS. I think it was good for 100+rpm at base idle.
This may help you, but check you EGR for diaphram and carbon buildup.

Take it to your local mechanic to get an OBD code check. It should tell you the problem, and you can get an estimate on the fix unless you want to do it yourself. It could be a fuel filter issue.

Ignition coil is most likely..clogged injector is uncommon but possible..fuel injector cleaner can only do so much..coil would be the thing to start with..
