I recently swapped a hydrolocked engine in a 2003 sienna with a motor from the junk yard. We plugged everything up and as soon as I turn the key on, the EFI fuse blows. Can someone help?
U can use a headlight to find the short use a old style headlight usually 3 prongs use some 14 guage wire and hook to prongs to head light and run the other end of the wires where efi fuse goes turn key on the headlight will light up as long as there is a short , u can then start wiggle wiring or unplugging engine sensors till headlight goes out when it goes out you have found the short

Depends on whether you want new or used, the engine compartment fuse box or the cabin fuse box. www.car-parts.com A junk yard in Elgin, IL has 2 cabin fuse boxes for $125-150. As for the engine compartment fuse boxes there is a long list of junk yards with prices between $100-200.
It is not related to car being cool down , I think you are having ignition switch on . The EFI fuse goes directly to the contact switchin the EFI relay. Maybe try removing the EFI relay, turn the ignition to ON, and see if the fuse blows.
Doing this, the car won't start, but it might give you a clue as to where the short circuit is located. ... Check the fuse/relay box next to the driver side fender in the engine compartment.
Well u will need an amp meter that will check out the current thru fuse with nothing on " multi function" besides the motor running and see if it solves your problem and tell us your current reading .
Usually the efi fuse is rated at 10 Amp. Make sure it is not undersized.
If the problem persists with the standard rated fuse, there may be short circuit in the harness wiring or extra load attached to the efi power circuit like extra lights, audio, camera or any other load which need to be sorted and addressed properly.
