If you look at the opposite child door lock you will see that the lever/switch is almost exactly lined up with the middle of the armrest on the door. Practice on the door you can open to slide a wide-bladed screwdriver along the edge of the armrest and into the door crack. Avoid the rubber insulation, but once you get the hang of it you will see that it is pretty easy to push the child lock into the correct position for you to open the door. Then, soak all lock mechanisms with light oil like wd-40 and work the mechanisms until they are smooth. Don't get oil on your fabric, use a rag to wipe up excess.

SOURCE: 1997 Jetta Drivers side door will not open.

One thing... If your last 3 doors works fine it's mean that problem is only in your drivers side. In VW like nickalxjoe wrote is air pump. So there might be an air leaking which you can hear. So if you can hear from where air running out try to fix this first.

SOURCE: Passenger side rear door only opens from inside.

It sounds like the linkage connecting the door handle to the latch has disengaged....you'll need to remove screws that are by the door handle, arm rest, under door and side of door and then gently pull back on the panel as there will also be retaining clips attached and you don't want to break them. You'll need to lift the door panel upwards in order to get it off the window ledge. You can then pull off the weather seal in order to see the inside of the door....

How do I take the child proof off my 2005 Honda Accord the doors open from outside and not inside

Hit the door lock with the remote or dr. side will lock all the doors so they won't open from the outside. If you open the rear doors, on the outside edge of the doors is a lever that will allow the rear doors to operate from the inside. Hope that helps

My back doors wont open

If your back doors won't open from the inside then the child proof locks maybe turned on. Open the door from the outside and look at the edge of the door near the lock for a small lever or screw setting for the child proof lock. Tun off the child proof lock and then you can open the back door from the inside.

Why wont the rear door open on my 2009 gmc acadia

from inside or outside ? if won't open from inside your child safety lock is probably tripped. if won't open from outside you probably have a lock rod that popped off inside the door, in which I would have the dealer fix it, it involves taking door pad off and when you can't open door to take pad off ,most of the time it damages it.

Back doors won't open from the inside

Open the door from the outside and while open look at latch mechanism on door.
There should be a small sliding or toggle lever and it only has two positions.
Flip it to the other position...and this should fix it.

This is a safety feature to keep children from opening the doors from the inside...

Hope this helps...

I have Toyota Camry car. i can't open the two back doors from inside.

See if you have a "child lock out" switch. Open the door from the outside and look near the latch or a switch.
