Need to locate knock sensor on 3.1 2000 chev lumina

P0332 - Knock Sensor 2 Circuit Low Input (Bank 2)

The knock sensor is attached to the cylinder block. It senses engine knocking using a piezoelectric element. A knocking vibration from the cylinder block is sensed as vibrational pressure. This pressure is converted into a voltage signal and sent to the Powertrain Control Module (PCM) or Engine Control Module (ECM).

Causes for P0332 DTC:
- Knock sensor circuit short to GND.
- Knock sensor circuit short to PWR.
- Knock sensor circuit open.
- Damaged knock sensor.
- PCM or ECM failure.

Solutions:
- Repair or resecure the harness or connector.
- Replace the knock sensor.

Your best bet is to just replace the knock sensor for sensor 2 bank 2. Call Auto Zone with part number SU1282 this is the OEM replacement.

Usually the knock sensor is locate on the side of the engine block by the pan rail

well i have got quite a few bad parts from autozone they just dnt make them like they used to hahah.....i say take that 1 back nd get another 1 if it still doing this then u can msg me at [email protected]

it could be the knock sensor and/or the crankshaft position sensor

they are located under the intake manifold, it takes two. they sit in a pint size cup hole. they tend to rust from engine WASH.

Im looking for the same part location on a 2002 chevy blazer. It might be under the distributer cap.

Knock sensor replacement requires the removal of the intake manifold as the knock sensors are under it.

When it stops, does it have spark? (crank sensor)
