SOURCE: Blower Motor Resistor for front AC/Heater

Under the passanger side of the dash there is a black cover which you remove with 2 bolts I think they are 6 or 8 mm. Once you have pulled the cover down you can see what looks like a round black plastic housing. In the middle of the housing is the resistor assembly. I would call your local parts store and give the follow info. year make model and a/c type ie; automatic (set to temp) or manual (hot to cold) hope this helps. This is the OE part # 89019100 and OE cost is approx. 55.00

SOURCE: locating heater blower motor resistor

the resistor is behind your glove box. open the box and push in the sides to release it and let it hang down...the resistor is right there. I didn't try to replace it, a friend did it, but the part was under $20.

Where is the heater resistor on a 1996 buick century with a V6

You have to replace the blower motor. They don't use resistors anymore, each motor speed connects to a different spot on the motor windings to control the speed.

Blower motor won't run

Most likely the blower motor resistor,,, always check fuse first (KISS) the blower motor resistor is mounted on the heater box (inside or out) not sure on the s-10 most likely the pig tail that plugs into the resistor is defective by melting at the connection to the resistor so after finding and checking the resistor you may need to order a repair pigtail and replace that too. Note always check the blower motor to see if it moves freely,,, a stiff or hard to turn blower motor is a good reason the resistor would fail.

99 maxima gle heater blower motor resister or amp

This sounds like the blower motor is burned out or the built in thermal fuse is popped in the blower motor resistor module in which case both the blower motor and the blower motor resistor should be replaced as one repair..

'91 Buick LeSabre heater blower motor

Are you sure the blower motor is defective? If the blower motor resistor pack is bad the blower will not work. Have you applied 12 volts directly to the blower motor to verify it is bad? I have not replaced a blower motor on your particular car but it is usually a labor intensive repair. Depending on where you have it repaired the cost could be as little as $150 and up. Hard to say without actually doing it. Replacing the Resistor Pack is a fairly easy repair, so hopefully that is your problem.

2003 Dodge Durango front heater blower problem

The front and rear are two different systems-if the rear works or doesn't -your front still should. Your problem is the blower motor resistor and yes you can do this yourself. Remove the glovebox door and the resistor will be fastened to the heater/ac box with 2 screws and a harness plugged into it. It is a dealer only part, but they are under $30. Hope this helps you. Will probably take about 10mins to change,

Where is the heater blower resistor located

Blower Motor Resistor
The four-speed operation of the blower motor is achieved through the blower motor resistor. The blower motor resistor is mounted under the A/C evaporator/blower motor assembly.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

the heater blower resister is in the heater plenum under the dash on the passenger side. the resister is in the air stream to keep it cooled. it has 2 screws holding it in and a 3 or 4 wire connector on it. easy repair. buy resister from tascaford.com for 25% off.
