You could always call a heating and ac company. That could help.

SOURCE: I have a 1989 chevy pickup c2500 what is the fuel

Hello! If you have the TBI engine it should be 9 to 13 pounds - if it's the SFI, it should be 40 to 55 pounds.

Hope this helps, and thanks for using FixYa!

SOURCE: locating a horn relay for 85 chevy pickup 1/2 ton

on the firewall with the other relays under the hood near the battery, it'll have a light green wire as the sme color as the wire that hooks to the horn. The fuse is in the under dash fuse panel. if the fuse is good you can repeated ly hit the horn button and listen for or feel by touch the relay as it clicks. The horns fail more often than the relay and the relay will work to run other things so it could be removed if the rely was used for thre fuel pump or something else.

SOURCE: Where is the wiper relay

Under the hood. drivers side on top of the fender well. Black plastic compartment usually but not always marked fuses and relays relays are square most of the time black plastic ( sometimes metal) little bigger than end of thumb. Anyway when you open the box on the inside of the lid fuse and relays are mapped out for you.

1998 GMC Sierra vortex engine v6 4.3 knock sensor location

USA car or not in N.America at all??????????
which one is it, Sierra is a sub model class not a truck actual.
I will guess C1500????? pickup truck? 2wd./
scan the PCM yet, using any OBD2 scan tool for DTC errors?

it is not bad, 99% are not bad so no need to find it.
why not post a problem and not hunts.
the service manual on the car and google searches ends the hunt.

the knock sensor allows the PCM to tune spark timing to use poor grade fuel. and not allow knock and ping. it does that endlessly.
but if say you heard the engine ping, that is a dead EGR

PING (knock or detonation) is caused by poor fuel and crazy high combustion temps.
The EGR system cures it. (and must be cleaned or fails)
some trucks run spec cams that stop PING>
and some use those and a knock sensor..
it is a microphone ,sensor. and if engine bearings pound load

the KS1 sensor lies., to you. (and the PCM)
example rod knock or piston slap noises.

what truck is it,from USA 1998 list
1998 (sierra is a sub class not an actual truck) see?

the knock sensor
looks like OIL sender, or desk knob round.
newer 4.3L has 1 KS1, and KS2 sensors one per bank.
1998 , it is one, sensor, rear left of distributor.
left means (USA drivers left side) perspectives.

first google hit found it.

I have a 1998 C2500 Chevy truck I replaced the horn fuse and all I get is a clicking sound from the horn relay. Should I replace it also? What else could be wrong?

There are some connectors behind your steering wheel that may be messed up. My 1999 chevy s10 had a dysfunctional horn I had to remove the airbag from the steering wheel to access the wiring harness to the horn and i had a broken wire that caused the horn not to work I replaced that and problem solved. Also Your actual horn is usually located in your front bumper and that may be damaged if it is replacing it will fix the problem. Hope this helps good luck

Anybody know how the horn wiring behind airbags is supposed to go? 1998 Chevy cavalier 2.2L. I'm replacing the airbags cover and don't know where the wire and ground goes...(

It is really very simple. The horn lead with the plastic connector and the spring pushes in and turns to lock in the large round hole at the upper left center of the steering wheel. If you look into the hole, you will see the contact down in there with a plastic "tube" with a slot in it for the horn connector to go into.

The ground clip (wire with brass or steel clip on it) simply pushes into the hole in the steering wheel center near the bottom (It grounds to the steering wheel center).

1998 S10 Chevy Horn not working

You most likely need a new clock spring rotating contact under the steering wheel, it is a plastic ribbon with wire in it to connect the horn button and other accessories to the steering wheel while allowing the wheel to turn.
