I have a 2001 Chevy impala 3.8L. My headlights for some reason quit working. Both of them. The ony way I can get them to come on is by holding them on and it's the brights that will come on. As soon as I let go of the handle though they shut off. The parking lights and te turning signals work fine. If someone could help me out that would be greatly appreciated. Thanks a lot. Skyler

SOURCE: headlights wont come on, but parking lights work...i dont get it

Was sent in by another poster, just posting his results which fixed mine. Problem was relay $50.00 at GM only.

Check the relay module. 45 or 46. on the engine relay block. you can swap the two they are the same part number, then you will know. Dont start the engine, just check the lights. If it works replace the relay module. You may have to order the part from the parts store. Or go to the dealer to get it.

SOURCE: 2004 chevy cavalier headlight problem

Ain't no "might be", I believe the person who told you it was a ground issue is probably shaking his head over the fact that you have not acted on this. Take apart the sockets that plug the wiring harness off that way and make sure they have no excessive corrosion, not forgetting to check the condition of the headlight plug-in. Any ground strap you see along that harness needs to be removed, cleaned and fastened securely with a shot of anticorrosion gunk (your choice, I don't think it matters one damn bit what kind you use since it all should work). Get to work! Enjoy yourself and figure about an hour (+-) for the job.

SOURCE: 2001 Chevrolet Impala Door Locks Suddenly Quit Working

Passenger side of the fender under the hood - check the fuse relay box - about $12.00 a piece - they do go bad from time to time.
exchange the power lock relay with another one and test the locks.
then put the relay back and go to the autostore.

SOURCE: My driver side heated seat has quit working. But

more than likely it is the heating element in the seat that went bad. if there is a light on the switch it should be getting power and the heating elements under the seat coushin do go bad. it is not an uncommon thing.

Headlights will not work, it does have daytime running lights 2002 chevy impala

Did you do a good visual inspection of the headlight area for anything obvious? Perhaps the crash jacked up your wiring. If you had to jimmy the switch to get high beams to work, that tells me the switch could be the problem. Take a look at a wiring diagram and do some basic troubleshooting if you have a multimeter. Here is a link with a couple of diagrams and suggestions that were given to another person with this problem.

Where is adjustment screw for headlights on 2008 impalla

Vic, the adjuster is either a allen key, torx, or #2 philips type bolt found close to the bolt that is holding headlight in place on inner fender rail/flange. I believe on the Impala the only adjustment is up and down of the light beam. Check the attached links, instruction and guides, Good luck

2001 Impala TPMS reset, radio and headlight options DONT WORK

CHEVY IMPALA &
MONTE CARLO

On a Chevy Impala or Monte Carlo with indirect TPMS, a totally different reset procedure is required. You can use the light switch or radio to reset the system. With the light switch procedure, turn the ignition on (engine off), the turn the light switch from OFF to parking lamps three times within five seconds. With the radio technique, turn the ignition on (engine off). With the radio off, hold the DISP button until “SETTINGS” is displayed. Use the SEEK button to scroll down the menu until you see “TIRE MON.” Press the PREV or NEXT buttons until “RESET” is displayed. Then press the DISP button again. You should hear a chime and see “DONE” to indicate the TPMS system has been successfully reset. Use the SEEK button to scroll through the menu until “DONE” is shown, then press DISP once more to exit from the learn mode.

My headlights on my 2004 chevy impala do not work. I have changed all four bulbs, the light switch, checked all fuses and still nothing. My parking lights work as well as my tail lights and running lights....

I had the same exact problem as you. For some reason the high beam / low beam switch gets stuck in no-mans land. Turn it on and off a couple times and this should help.
