I have exactly the same problem in my 2003 F150 Supercrew

I now have the same problem in a 2003 Ford Explorer. The odd thing is that is started after I took the vehicle in to have the heater/defroster checked. They checked all the heater gates and mechanisms and decided it needed a new thermostat. Could they have done anything to cause the cd player to not work? Or coincidence?

This is a part failure in the mechanism that loads and ejects the disk, there are no repair manuals avail to either the tech or the consumer, the only place that the factory gives this info and parts to are factory authorized repair stations, bottom line you must pull the deck and contact a Ford dealer in your area for location of the nearest factory repair station. I was dealer tech for 20 years and that is how it is done.

My 05 v6 mustang coupe 44,000 miles. the cd

I had this problem in my 05 GT at about 50K miles, and had to get the stereo replaced. (It was covered by my extended warranty.) They have to send the old unit back to the factory to get the CDs out but will get them back to you when in a week or 2.

ERROR 03 WHEN PUSH CD BUTTON

Two solution proposed on other forums:
1. Hold 'eject' button for 10 seconds. The system should eject the cd.
2. Slide a credit card back and forth on the cd opening. Push eject, the cd should be ejected.
Hope it works.

The player will not eject the cd but it will not play it either.

I know it sound crazy, but turn the system on, press eject while using a PLASTIC knife to lift the CD in the player. If the system is stock also try disconnecting the radio fuse for about 10 minutes or so with the car off. Reconnect it to see if the radio resets. You'll know the power completely went out because you'll have to reset your stations. By Resetting, hopefully the issue will solve itself. In a few of the system issues I've seen, when the motor won't open the faceplate, or the CD player won't give the CD back. I usually remove the faceplate or disconnect the negative side of the battery for about ten minutes. Try this if the fuse removal doesn't work. Good look. Let me know how it goes. there are other things to try.

6 Changer cd player

to take the radio out you need to remove the big plastic piece around it. to get the radio out there is a special key that fits into 2 little holes on the side of the head unit.

CD player in my 2004 Dodge Stratus doesn't work

are they Burned or copied CD's? CDR, CDRW? cause if they are some radios will not read them and give error messages. if not try using a lazer lens cleaner CD, they sell them at most music stores, you may have lint or dust on the CD lens with summer weather, and pollen in the air and dust, CD player lenses take a beating, so get a WET lazer lens CD cleaner, and that should help fix the problem

Envoy 2004 cd player

I had same problem with a 2005 Envoy in Jan '09. I took it to the ex-GM dealer. He said he'd try. The unit would only play using radio.
Mechanic took unit out of dash, and top off of unit. Ejected CD bu moving the eject mechanism. Replaced top and unit.
Works and plays cds. Cost $25.00 And i tipped the mechanic $10.00 for his knowledge.
