Our Hyundai Sonata 2009 will start itself when you halfway turn the key and then grinds it, like the starter is stuck, as if you are holding the key in the starting position. It does it in Park and Nuetral.

SOURCE: 2001 Hyundai Sonata GLS, my check engine light

Could be misfire. You need to get a code reader to find out what the trouble codes are. You can then better know what to do next. Spark plugs could be the problem. They are easy to change on the four cylinder, and the V6 is a bit of a chore as the intake plenum needs to be unbolted to change the three rear plugs. Get the codes read! best of luck!

Po750 hyundai sonata gls 2002

This is a failure detected in an automatic transaxle solenoid, one that is used to select the proper gear. The bad part is that as of my last knowledge, you cannot buy a solenoid separately, you have to replace the entire transaxle. Hyundai Motors does not inventory automatic transmission repair parts.

It sounds like a starter solenoid is sticking. Replace the bad solenoid, if possible. Also, check ALL wiring connections to the solenoid, BATTERY and starter. They MUST be free of grit or corrosion... And TIGHT!! Make sure wires are not damaged. Replace as needed.

Where is the pcv valve located on a 2003 hyundai sonata

I have a 2003 Hyundai Sonata GLS 2.7L V6 , I'm having a problem locating the pcv valve. I was told it was on the valve cover near the fire wall. Is it located near the throttle body? i have to take off the intake to change the plugs so I'm sure I will find it then. Just thought I would ask someone that has pervious experience. Thanks for anyone's input.
