SOURCE: E.E.C fuse keeps blowing in 1991 Ford Explorer

if you replaced fuel pump i would look at backward wiring when replaced and i would start at the source of work if your vehicle was working fine before replacement then 9 out of 10 it will be your fuel pump wireing

sometimes when putting wireing back together the connectors have the missing clip and in turn you can turn the wireing in both directions now where positive is touching the ground on both sides of connector kris kross problem check your work this is crucial use a test light to find the right wires where they go

SOURCE: 1991 ford ranger 3.0 eec relay fuse keeps blowing fuel good no sp

I understand that there is a relay box under the hood with 3 relays. Which is which I don't know. However if you are blowing the fuse TO the ecc relay, then the relay must be bad. This relay controls the spark.

SOURCE: 2001 Ford Windstar speedometer fuse keeps blowing

We had the same problem but when we put in a new fuse it smoked. It turned out to be something with the master cylinder and required the changing of a 20 dollar part by the mechanic and problem solved

SOURCE: the horn and cruise control doesn't work, fuses are

the horn input to ground is located in the cruise control module. if they both don't work then your cruise control module or the clockspring coil for the steering wheel needs to be replaced. If airbag lights is on as well then I would change the clockspring coil first.

SOURCE: 2008 Ford F450 fuel pump relay fuse keeps blowing.

the fuel pump and radio are not on the same circuit, most liokely the fuel pump is shorted, that is the most common cause, get under the truck and disconnect the fuel pump connector at the tank, if the fuse doesn't blow then u need a new pump.

2001 VW Bug Horn was randomly honking, Now it wont work at all. Relays and Fuses are good. Should I just replace the horn itself? Not quite sure whats the issue.Want to figure out before making drive

it the horn activates randomly when driving and when the steering wheel is moved , the problem will be the ground contact under the steering wheel
there is a small spring loaded button that runs on a slip ring in the back of the steering wheel and intermittent/ random operation can be traced back to a fault in this area
the horn works so it is good , the fuses and relays are working to make the horn work so they are good ( unless there is a grounding problem with the relay causing the relay to operate and blow the horn)

Can not get horn to blow on a 2001 malibu

2001 malibu horn fuse and relay are located in the under the hood fuse box.
location 21 should be the relay
location 43 should be the fuse.
if the relay is put in wrong the horn will not work. if you replaced the relay and the horn stopped working try pulling the relay out and turning it around. and try the horn again.

Horn doesnt work all fuses and relays are good

If you know the fuse and relay have power, you should be able to jumper the relay and make the horn blow. The horn pad on the steering wheel usually grounds the relay. If you can jumper the relay and make the horn blow, the problem may be the horn pad or the clockspring in the steering column.

Horn do not blow , I changed the fuse, could it be a wiring problem, all other lights works.

Apply power directly to the horn
If it does not blow the horn(s) are bad
If horn does blow then:
1. horn switch on steering wheel is bad
2. relay not engaging
3. possible interrupt in power or ground

Horn blows constantly, doesn,t blow the fuse or anything else. can this problem be outside of the horn blowing assy. on the steering wheel? it,s a 2000 galant. problem occurs all the time if the switch is...

  • The horn relay might have welded contacts (stuck in the on position). Pulling the relay should stop the horn.
  • The wiring harness on the steering column might have a broken wire to the horn relay shorting to someplace that applies power to the relay. In this case, turning the steering wheel all the way to one side or the other may stop the horn, and it won't sound when you press the horn button.
  • The horn button in the steering wheel is stuck on or shorted.

Horn just stop blowing,won't blow

When you press on the horn button do you hear the horn relay click? The start at the horn, bench test it, if it works then check for power, is the fuse good and is the relay ok. If the stuff checks out then it may be the horn contacts behind the steering wheel.

My horn isnt working on my 2002 zx2 ford , the fuse is good. in

Check the horn relay, it is located under the dash near the fuse box. I believe it is on a white box. You may need to purchase a new relay or there could be a problem with the horn button in the steering wheel/column. Check relay first.

HORN DOESNT WORK

a very common cause of this problem is the steering wheel mounted horn button looses it's connection to the horn circuit due to a defective ribbon rotating contact under the steering wheel, the special clock spring shaped ribbon wiring harness is what allows you to turn the wheel and still have a connection to all steering wheel buttons and the airbag, to check this listen for a click when u press the horn button with the engine off, it will be faint but if u listen closely u will hear it, if u don't hear it u will ned to replace the Clock-Spring rotating contact under the steering wheel.
