SOURCE: oil in spark plugs
this fault could be either worn oil control rings or worn valve stem oil seals or the plug was faulty and not igniting
SOURCE: code-12 (VAF)
GOOD! I assume the CHECK ENGINE (yellow) light comes on!... correct? Whenever the "Check Engine" light comes on, there is always a DTC (Diagnostic Trouble Code) stored in the ECM (Engine Control Module). You'll need an OBDII (On-Board-Diagnostics) scanner to retrieve any codes recorded/set in ECM. Once you do this and let us know what, if any codes are set, then we can go from there.
SOURCE: blowing light smoke and burnning engine oil
Blue smoke is usually oil burnig related. White smoke is due to coolant mixing with the oil. (Head gasket leak) You should have the coolant system pressurized by a garage to see if your system holds pressure. This test will tell a lot. Coolant in the oil is a big problem.
SOURCE: I have a 98 Hyundai Excel, the engine seems to run
It more than likely needs a rebuild but you can try certain oil additives that restore compression. "Restore" is on product. There are several others that work as well.
SOURCE: engine has no spark and crank sensor & coils
ECM uses input from crank sensor to generate spark signals to the coils. Please see my tip at http://www.fixya.com/cars/r6022358-relay_check and let me know if you have questions.
If all fuses good, troubleshoot the EC relay and socket in the engine compartment fuse box.
