The heater quit, service engine light, will not start now
98 Saturn SC2 -Drove the car into town (5 miles), colder weather in the mid 30's. Ate lunch and parked car for about 35 m inutes. While driving the car home (less than 3 miles) the heater quit, I tried to turn the heater off and then on again. Then a service light came on, drove 2 more miles to get home, and after turning off the car it will not restart. The lights work and the battery seems charged, but when trying to start the engine nothing happens. No sounds at all. I do not know where to begin checking on this. I do not know if it is 2 seperate issues or one big problem all at once.
My Saturn ION II, 2005, won't start on cold mornings. The battery is fine, the starter clicks, but the enginge light comes on, and it won't even try to crank. Sun for another 15 minutes and it's fine.

Just bought a 2013 dodge avenger, literally yesterday. Test drove fine twice,, drove all over town for license and registration, multiple erands. No problems. I got to work and went to leave for lunch and was introduced to the no bus code. Left me stranded the very day i purchased it,, only 25000 miles. Is this problem simple enough to weather or is this the brightest red flag to take it back?
Try cleaning the fuel pump filter. Under the seat behind the driver lift the carpet and you will find a round cover with six screws remove the cover. The fuel pump is directly below unscrew the retaining round plate and remove the pump. At the base of the pump is a small filter if it is covered in black muck that's your problem. clean and replace. job takes about 10 mins good luck. please let me know how you got on!
Don't start with the pump, start with the fuel filter. Do U have any service stations that offer free code checking or go to a Murry's Auto Parts store that U can get a scan tool. U just put the deposit on a credit card and when U bring the tool back they remove the transaction, so its free.
It's just condensation. Water will also drip from the pipe.
The colder it is, the worse the 'smoke' will be. I was in Vernal, Utah
earlier this week, drove through -18*F weather, my truck never quit
blowing white smoke.
