Over time the grease in the locks etc can become frozen and stop movement when its warmed up a bit it will move better, using the key on the doors every now and then helps move this greas about as the central locking wont move these parts only the switches, replacing the grease after a degreasing locking mechanisms inside the door on the rear of the lock should help choose a grease that can handle low temperatures.

SOURCE: passenger door lock jammed

Your door latch assembly may be compromised. It could be rusted, the electric solenoid (if it has one) may be seized. Or the rods from the key are bent. Are you using th key in this door regularly? If not, the tumblers in the lock may be seized. Spray some WD-40 in the lock where the key goes, and jam the key in & out repeatedly, and retry. Remove the door panel & spray the interior of the latch, also. Hope this works for you; or, you are going to need new latches.

SOURCE: Front passenger door lock won't lock/unlock

You need to replace the electric door lock solenoid. The electrical part of the solenoid may be compromised and is not letting the solenoid arm retract or extend to lock/unlock your door.

SOURCE: 1991 Toyota Camry DX - Front Passenger Door Lock won't disengage

Your power door locke solenoid is seized. You will need to replace it. You are going to have to get the entire door panel off, and then reach in to manually pull the solenoid arm to retract the lock mechanism. Then the door will open.

SOURCE: 2002 Toyota RAV4 passenger side floor Water

Hi, we also have a 2002 Toyota Rav4 and developed a leak in the front driver's side of the car. After much research, we discovered that the drain wells from our sun/moon roof were clogged. If you have one of these, I suggest that you open the sun roof and look carefully. You will notice some tiny little holes in front and in the rear of the sun/moon roof tracks. Over time, these become clogged with dust and debris. You need to find a long, sturdy piece of thin wire and run it down the holes. To test if you have properly unclogged these, take a small amount of water and pour it down the holes. You should see water coming out of the drain wells under the car around the rear of the front tires. Hope this helps.

Disengage auto door locks

My toyota MR2 has this feature, its done by operating the drivers door switch seven times in succession, if the car then agrees it enters a security programming mode where you can change these security settings. Ask your toyota dealer how its done on yours, they can be helpful.

1997 rav4 interior lights

Not enough info given, so I'll take it as they stay on or off, if so then oil the little post that controls the lights on the door panel before you start buying switchs and what not!

1997 Toyota Rav4 driver side interior door handle broken

Parts can be had from a junk yard...remove door panel and push up on the connecting rod to open...generally, a little piece of plastic slips off or breaks inside the door. It is attached to a certain part of the rod. Should be white or clear plastic...look for the broken bits when door panel is removed so you know what you need....cheers

Every winter I can barely get the doors open because they're frozen. Once I do get them open they won't shut until the car is warmed up for about 20 minutes. Is there something I can do to fix this? ...

Rub some vasoline all around the door seals, this usually will keep them from freezing. Check for alignment of the doors and make sure they are not gapping too much and letting water get between the seal and the door frame.

2000 Toyota Rav4, just purchased. Has a two button Toyota FOB for door locks, alarm and remote starter? . The vehicle has a OEM Toyota remote starter installed but I don't know what combination of buttons...

My ex girlfriend had a factory installed honda remote strt on her vehicle. It was activated by hitting the lock button two times in succession. Some vehicles use a combination of the lock-unlock buttons. try using some combinations on the remote, many "oem" remote starts are installed by aftermarket installers so who knows what they did as a start function, it could also have been changed by the previous owner.

Front door locks

That is correct. Though It applies to the driver side door only. I can only speculate they did this to help you avoid locking your keys in your car.
Tilt wheel depends on which accessory package your Rav4 has.
