I left my house the car went through the gears fine ,but a mile down the road it stopped pulling,it finally went into reverse and I backed all the back home but the hotter it got it quit moving completely.when it cools it pulls in all gears again til it warms up again.the fluid is full.
SOURCE: Car stops moving in reverse gear
Sounds like the car is just slipping out of gear. Keep your hand on the shifter when you back up next time. See if you can feel the shifter move when the car comes out of gear. If the shifter moves up when it happens keep pressure on the shifter holding it back like you dont want it to move forward. And of course if the shifter moves back when it comes out of gear, put forward pressure on the shifter so it doesnt slip out. This might work for now but but i know i wouldnt want to spen 700 for that ****. Let me know how it goes.

honda small cars have transmision that can not be service. they build gum and tar inside the only way to clean is to add an dettergent and dilute them then do the fluid change the product can be find at any autto parts store
SOURCE: transmission issue
You need to have the transmission flushed and have new fluid put in. As oil warms up, especially old oil. It loses viscosity and will not lubricate the gears as it should.

Agreed, no such thing as an engine reset button. I wish it were that easy! : )
SOURCE: 94 honda accord ''D4'' gear shift shift selector blinks
Theres a transmission cooling sensor and somtimes the wire comes loose from other repairs being done around it. or its just out. its on the left side sitting on the tranny. THATS WHY your d4 light is blinking
