My 2000 chrysler lhs has a 4 disc cd changer. one day it jammed up and i took it apart to get the cds out. when i put it back together and plugged it in it made a couple of noises but the lights wouldn't stop flashing and it won't let me load and discs or play them. can i fix this or do i need to buy a new system?

Had same problem wit my 4 disk. A CD was jammed. Remove and open the unit up and remove the CD. The mechinizem might be jammed also. Try this before replacing. Seems like a common issue with these units. The newer 300Ms came with 6 disk changers.. not sure if these will work with the existing radio.

The starter is located beneith the engine, near the transaxle and it is attatched to the engine by 3 bolts. You need to disconnect the battery, raise the car to get at it. The 3.3 and 3.5 engines take different starters. Rick

Setting in the car remote in hand turn the key on and off ( don't start the car ) three times within 5 seconds. Now press the door lock button until the doors lock and stop it should now work.

These days, a lot of radios have a code to enter to discourage theft. The radio loses the code when the battery is off. The code should be in the documentation that came with the car--stamped in the owners manual or someplace in the jacket. If you google radio code you'll see what I mean. I don't know much about getting the code other than to look in the original paperwork for the car purchase.
