Could be the fuel pump, fuel filter, plugs, wires, cap, rotor. Did you have anybody do a fuel pressure test on it. I've owned honda's before. How many miles since timing belt was change. Timing could be off. You can test with a timing light or by having it hooked to a diagnostic tester at Autozon, O'riellys or Advance Auto.
check engine light flashing means your emissions are 3 x times the legal limit-this must be repaired soon or engine damage will result. need codes from e.c.m. to go any further
Could be as simple as a loose gas cap or cap seal or a bad o2 sensor. A falty cat. converter will also cause the check engine light to come on. Either way, you need to go either to a dealer or some auto parts stores will plug in the dioegnostic sensor and can tell what is wrong. your gas milage will suffer until you get this fixed. Your engine computer uses the inputs from your o2 sensers to adjust the fuel air mixture of the engine for optimum engine performance.
go to an auto parts store and have them test it.the check engine light could be a gas cap leaking. you could replace cap or o-ring,
could be a plug also.
how does the engine run. i cracked the porcelin on a plug once.
it ran terrible and the check engine light came on. i knew what it was because it didn't seem right when i put it in.
start out at the auto parts store first
I replaced the pump on my 1999 Accord EX V6 and didn't have to reset a thing. The only problem is that the low fuel light doesn't come on every time it should. The poor idling sounds like a different problem like your TPS or the IAC solenoids. Have your local parts store pull codes for you for free if you have a check engine light on.
Hi:
The check fuel cap light is tripped when your cap has been loose or off, and the engine is running. Often you need to have the light reset by a code scanner. If you have checked the cap and it is secure, if you reset the code and it comes back, you possibly need a new gas cap.
2003 and up Honda Accord with 4 cylinder engines do indeed have a chain and the V6 has a belt which must be replaced at 110,000 miles. Why? Ask Honda, they designed the engines.
If you brought your car to Honda for service, they probably forgot to reset the maintenance reminder. If you took it to another shop, they probably did not know how to reset it. Anyway, the reset procedure is:
Put your key in the ignition Turn the key to the II position for a couple of seconds Then turn the key to the off position Now push and hold in the odometer reset button While still holding the odometer reset button, turn the key back to the II position Hold for I think 10 seconds or so and your maintenance reminder light should reset it self.
2003 honda accord 6 speed 3.0 wont start
