The cause is too low an idle and engine is starving for fuel so it shakes like that. The thumping sound you hear is most likely just the exhaust being too close to the floor amd bumping against it when in drive with brake on.You said yourself that it stops when you put it in nuetral, well the engine speed goes up when there's no stress on it.With some one holding the brake and it's sitting there thumping, set the idle speed up just enough to make the engine stop rocking that way.
sounds like wheel bearings-1st but hopefully your front disc need turning, or replaced. check wheel bearings by jacking up the front end "CAREFULLY" WITH JACK STANDS & wiggle tires,if you get more than a 1/4'' slack on 1 or the other, than it's shot. Best to replace both sides. "GOOD LUCK'' & BE CAREFULL.
You need to take it back to Speedy and show them how it's going thump thump thump when you brake. Any reputable shop would find the problem and fix such a badly done job.
ABS only senses if the wheel is spinning or not.
"Thumping sound" sounds like a bad problem. I've not had thumping sound from my front brakes ever.
I don't know how a caliper could cause thumping.
Is everything installed correctly and do the brakes stop the car??
A BEARING MAKES A GROWELING NOISE.
BRAKES WOULD MAKE THE NOISE WHEN APPLIED.
THUMPING MORE THE FASTER YOU GO, LIKELY A TIRE THAT IS SEPRATING.(NO LONGER ROUND)
Check for leaks in the brake lines and calipers or brake cylinders. If leaking have it repaired right away its not safe. Change the brake fluid, take the old fluid out add new fluid or have it professionally done.
yes my cv axles had to be replace cause of the same thing but when you replace one side you need to do the other side at the same time cause when 1 goes bad the other is not that far behind . i know from experience
