Pull headlights out first (pull up the 4 metal retainer bars) then a few clips and snaps. Watch the Youtube video of this.

Most likely the sway bar links,if quiet unless you hit little bumps or cracks thats the most likely thing on a volvo. Followed by ball joints and tie rods. If it only happens when you are sitting still and move the steering wheel side to side that would be a tie rod.

its really easy. Open the hood, you will see two metal flat bars on the backside of each headlight, holding the headlight assembly on. Pull up on each of them.... remove headlight. Ta da.
