The cam sensor on the vortec engines are just a three wire pickup located underneath the distributor rotor need a t10 and a t15 torque bit usually the pick up module also has to torque bit screws in it same size

if no codes usually fuel filter and or faulty fuel pump-others problems are egr valve [faulty-carbon build up] --vacuum leak-cat converter- most other problems give a check engine light

If you have a 4.3 vortec the cam sensor is in the distributor.

Have you checked the timing belt? If it failed then you wont get the pulse from the cam sensor and no spark. Good luck

take your tires off the front one side at a time and remove your splash skirt,you can change 2 from there and the other one by removing your cowoling from inside the van.

Gmc savana van will stop running while driving or start sputterin

It could be a clogged fuel filter or a bad fuel pump. Also try replacing the spark plugs and spark plug wires and having the timing checked. Good luck.
