3.8 v6 with 120,000 miles
1st week. Van started and began to cut out til I got it going on the road...check engine light comes on. Mechanic tested (code P0301)
cyl 1 misfiring. He did a tune up with new spark plugs & wires and pcv valve. Seems to clear up.
2nd week. Van starts and begins to cut out again til it gets going on the road...check engine light comes on. Mechanic tested-same code.
replaced coil hoping that was the cause. Started to cut out again and light comes back on.
3rd week. ditto. Mechanic disables fuel system and cleans with fuel rail cleaner?
4th week. guess what. cuttin out again and light is on....arghhhhhh
I like my mechanic, but now he thinks I have the hots for him.....

HELP!!!!
Update....EGR ports were clogged...they cleaned them out. Van worked fine for a while. It is now doing the same thing again...with more frequency. I also noticed that it did not have this problem when we had a bout of cold weather (29-40 degrees...cold for us in Florida). Since it has warmed up it is back to doing this more often. Any Ideas?
thanks
while driving along the engine just cuts off. If I wait til the engine cools it goes again and will cut off after a few more miles
