My car ran fine two days ago. Yesterday I noticed the clutch was losing pressure (dropping almost to the floor) pumping the pedal helped a little but it still shifted into gear just fine. Today the clutch pedal has almost no pressure (pumping does not help) and its hard to get into gear. What problems should I look for?
Clutch slave cylinder is possibly leaking. do a visual check. with help of another person , without vehicle running have other person pump clutch pedal and at same time watch slave cylinder for actuation of rod inwards and outwards, if at same time look for signs of clutch fluid leaking in the same area. if fluid is present replace slave cylinder. if no leaks are obvious then bleed slave cylinder and see if this corrects problem.
NOTE: make sure clutch master cylinder fluid level is at appropriate level prior. to bleeding system . clutch master cylinder is located on driverside of engine compartment next to BRAKE MASTER CYLINDER.
SLAVE CYLINDER is located in front of engine compartment between engine and transmission. mounted on front side of transmission.

No fluid in the clutch reservoir due to a failed clutch slave cylinder
time to replace both the clutch slave and master cylinder
SOURCE: Clutch problem
check the fluid level first, if its empty this will happen, if so full it and bleed the clutch, if not it could be the slave cylinder and failing both, it could be the clutch itself, easiest way to check is to see on the gearbox if the clutch is engaging when you press the pedal down.
just ask if you need more help
SOURCE: Bleeding clutch slave cylinder
i think youre doing the right thing. they are very stubborn to bleed because the hyd. line goes up high across back of engine before droppiing back down to slave cyl., trapping air. could try to gravity bleed by opening bleeder at slave, cap off of master cyl, full with fluid then it may start to come out after a bit. then try your process again. or can try to bleed at connections further up the line, working your way back to bleeder. hope this helps. be patient.

the clutch master cylinder and slave cylinder are bad relace them starting with the slave cylinder first

First thing to do,try to pump your clutch before you shift into 1st gear then if you feel makes better, most probably you have problem with your hydraulic clutch system, check the clutch line if there is an evidence of fluid leaking or it could be internal leak.
Second thing to do, check your transmission oil, may be it' s too old or you use a thick oil thats why when cold its hard to shift then when the engine rich the normal temperature(warm) the oil become thin and the shifting will smooth. Remember the very old oil become thicken and the purity is gone and can cause of hard shifting. in this regards i suggest you to change the transmission oil and check the used oil if there is small peace of metals, then you are in big trouble,

that delayed reaction may be the transmission slipping. with those many miles it could be the transmission going bad
