Car bucked on highway a number of times then I lost all power and car died
The best way to find out why the car died is to read the computer code. A code reader will be required for this. You can buy one at your local auto parts store, or you can get a cheap one on ebay. I like the ELM327 scan tools. They don't just give you the error code, but they will search an internet database to tell you exactly what the code means.
There is just not enough information in your question to give you a more definitive answer. There are so many things which would give you similar symptoms.

I could very well be the TPS throttle position sensor acting up. I had a very similar situation on a 99 Concorde with the same engine in it in my shop today. Go to a shop that is able to do a data stream on the engine. What it is, is they hook up a scanner and have the ability to watch all the sensors as the car starts/runs.

sounds like your timing belt has snapped, allowing the engine to tutrn over but the belt is not turning the vales, hence no start

Hey first thing you want to do is make sure its getting fuel .. Try shooting a little gas into the air cleaner and crank it and see if it starts .. if it does your fuel pump might be the problem .. or use a little either instead of gas either will let you know if its a fuel problem .. sounds like to me that might be what it is. holler if you need more and thanks Jerry
