The radio in my 1996 chevy blazer stopped working suddenly. The radio will trun on but no sound will be coming out. The sound used to come back on if I just turned the radio on and off a few times, but now there is no sound at all no matter ho many times I turn the sterero on and off. I mean out of all the speakers in the car none of them have any sound. I tried looking behind the bottom art of the dash but all I see are wires taped together and I can't figure out what goes where. I tried try the fuses but that didn't work. Any Help please?
Thanks
Karen
I have a strong feeling that the head unit "radio" has finally gone bad. You describe a situation, in which you have to turn it on and off, to get it to work. Typically if the sound comes out of all speakers, after doing that, then the speakers were never broken. The head unit itself should be replaced. I hope this helps.

Weird, I have the same problem with my 96 Blazer. This model seems to be falling apart slowly after I hit 100,000 miles. Now the radio is dead. Not sure how to have it fixed or to just let it go.
i have a nissan murano 2006 , i tried to install a new radio by my self and at first i did every thing right but i forgot to wire the blue amp wires together which caused to only turn on the radio but no sound was coming . after that i decided to attach the wires but this time i forgot to turn of the car battery which cause the 15 fuse to get burnt ,, i replaced the fuse and rewired the blue wires ,,, now every thing is working but not the back speakers, even tho their wires are attached properly ,,, soo please help ,,
