so is this a stock RAD/cd?
stock JBL 6 disk player in dash>? or? what? name and model #
mp3 and wma format. but not DVD
or
JBL premium 4-disc in-dash CD changer
io the single disc player, 3 kinds sold. new.
and now comes the big question.
TELLS where you got the disk, or name it, or tell how it was made if home made. we dont know that.
is said CD a CDDA? or not. (always try CDDA first)
is CD a real music disc. from a real store, CDDA, is that.
or CDR, or DVDr, or CDRW, or other record-able media
is music MP3? files.
see, the old units dont play modern media.
try 2 real discs, not scratched.
do they play?
one other way, is to name the radio, brand, like JBL then get the
p/n off it. (hard) then look up the product data sheet on it,
bingo, what it can and can not do is there.
but this does it all, mostly
does what yours will not do.

You might try Windows to search for drivers. It seems you hardware is OK but you have a software problem.------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Diagnostic VAG
I had the error code no. 1 in my 2007 Toyota Camry Hybrid. It has the CD radio unit with JBL system. It will not eject the CD, or play it. I removed the entire radio/CD unit and replaced it with a used excellent unit bought off of ebay for $100, and the replacement works fine. However the replacement is also 7 years old. Therefore I would not be surprised if it failed again. Prior to the error 1 I had intermittent error 3 codes, which had the same effect: no playing of the CD, unable to eject, and unable to insert other CDs. Sometimes the error codes would go away, and the function would be normal. But once it started, I think it was on a downhill path. A new replacement is nearly $2000. Used are about $100 to $200 or more depending on the seller and condition of the unit. Youtube has videos on how to replace the unit which only requires simple tools: it is not difficult but takes about 45 minutes to an hour. If you do it you have to put the car in gear to move the gear shift gate, which requires the car to be on, so you should have the parking brake on for safety. One alternative is to send your unit to a repair company but that might cost more than simply replacing the unit. Good luck!

Technicians are to reprogram the radio with new operating software using the following procedure:

before the radio is reprogrammed. Remove and reinstall the radio fuse to
reset the radio and then eject the CD(s). If cycling the power to the
radio does not allow the CD(s) to be removed, the radio may have another
failure that will not be corrected by the reprogramming procedure that
follows. Refer to the Diagnostic Starting Point - Entertainment
procedure in SI to begin your diagnosis of this failure to eject CDs
concern before reprogramming the radio.
2. Reprogram the radio using the Service Programming System (SPS) with

I sould checkyou phone book to see if there is a bussiness that repairs car radios and cd players.
Other wise you should look into a new cd player at a local electronic store that sells car radios and cd players. The last option is to go to the dealer and order another one.
This sounds like the CD is dirty, try getting a CD Cleaner disk, they are economical enough.
After years of use the lens on the CD can get dirty, one or two cleanings sometimes clears this up.
If you smoke in the car the lens will need continual cleaning every 3 mos or so.
just replaced my 2006 Pontiac G6 GT Monsoon 6 CD changer with an identical model pulled from a totaled car.How do I reprogram it so it works on my car.
