I have a power steering leak on my 1990 honda ex. I have to fill the resouviour every week it seems like. How can I find where the leak is coming from or is there a easy way to find where its coming from. Oh and yea there is quite a bit of oil under the car leaking just under the pump onto the left side of the car.
Three things to check the powersteering hose, the pump and the steering rack itself usualy the power steering hose and the steering rack usualy go bad in them

Check the ends of your rack & pinion for signs of a leak. If a leak is present, replace the rack & pinion. If no leaks, maybe your power steering pump is going out.
On the back of the transmission near your thermostat housing. Move your air intake tube and you'll see it down there. There will be two rubber power steering hoses running to it and a plug & wires.
Check fluid and make sure it filled enough,(make sure that its actually power steering fluid in thereand not something else added by mistake for ex. antifreeze etc) make sure there are no leaks. Check power steering belt and and make sure its tight NOT loose or slipping. From personal experience with these vehicle you MOST likely cause of this problem if all the items above are GOOD is a bad power steering pump.
this is either a loose belt, or low power steering fluid. Remember that Honda uses a diffrent power steering fluid from everyone else. Make sure it is a Honda compatable fluid, or you will get leaks.
I have a leak in my Power Steering fluid as well in my 1990 Toyota Celica, how do I identify where the leak is? - It's a fast leak, I filled it up less than 24 hours ago and it's almost completely empty, also when I make turns it makes an odd sound, which I assume is because of the leak... help please!!
