You need a new starter homie
Usually the clicking noise is the starter solenoid not getting enough amps because the battery is shot.
Suggest jump start vehicle then drive it to Autozone. They will test it for free and even install the new battery for free.
They have one of the best battery warranties in the business. Be sure to keep your receipt paperwork in the glove box.

it could be a faulty fan switch, or faulty engine coolant temp sensor or a faulty fan relay

Go to AutoZone or Advance Auto Parts and have them scan the ECU (they do it for free, where a shop will charge you). They'll give you the codes, and you can post them here. Once you do that, I can help you narrow it down.

It sounds like you don't have quite enough juice to start it. Sometimes vehicles will turn over but won't start when battery is low. Have someone jump you with jumper cables and I bet it will start then have your battery tested. If it won't start try giving it a shot of starter fluid as well as jump starting it and this will probably do the trick. If not you will have to have it diagnosed professionally. Good Luck

HI,HANNAH,I SUSPECT YOU HAVE AN IMMOBILIZER PROBLEM.IF THERE IS A ORANGE LIGHT FLASHING ON THE CLUSTER WITH AKEY IN IT THEN IT IS THE IMMOBILIZER.THE PROBLEM WOULD MORE LIKELY BE THE DATA FROM THE KEY IS NOT GETTING TO THE IMMOBILIZER CONTROL UNIT,USUALLY A BAD CONNECTION AT THE READER COIL ON THE IGNITION.YOU MUST CLOSE THE TERMINALS SLIGHTLY AND INSULATE THE WIRING SEPERATELY.ANDY
Hi, I had the same problem. it is the imoboliser, it reads a code in your key while starting. you need to get the code in the key reprogramed. if that wont work you will need to get a new ignition barrel. Audi dealer will reprogram your key.
