Hi i have a renault kangoo van and when i turn on the ignition the emmobiliser light will go out for a couple of seconds and the start flashing very fast , the engine wont start , does anyone have any ideas, do you think its the key at fault or praps the immobilise unit itself, thanks.
Hold the central locking button down on the centre consul inside the van for more than 5 seconds the doors should lock Then unlock, then press the key fob within ten seconds the doors will lock and unlock again this will re- program the key code
good luck jk
ITS THE KEY
I had this cost me 200e and all i got was a new key but it did work.ive paid less for nookie
I had the same problem so i started with the cheapest option that was to dismantle the key fob, I then looked at the chips with a jewellers loop and found that 2 of the legs soldered to the board were seperated, so i soldered them back and its been fine since. cost nothing.
Put the key in the ignition press key fob then turn ignition on wait for the red light to stays on and the light should go out in 5 to 10 seconds. then it should start.
There is no fix for this new key needed and thats it end of
Its a renault what else do you expect burn it and claim insurance and while its burning give the dammed frogs a agincourt salute.its dealer only for just about anything electrics on these pieces of doggy doo as encrypted software used .but try this first lock and unlock door 3 time slowly then jump in quick and try to start within 15 secs .if this doesnt work the hold the trip meter knob down and turn ign on and wait ,after about 40 secs the dash will all light up and it will do a self diagnostics ,then if you lucky it might start .if none of this works go back to plan one .....BURN IT
I had the same problem! With mine it was just the key that was broken. I tried the spare key and problem went away!
Hi mate i had to buy a new transponder key then the light will go out and start about £60 pound but with the romote locking around £160,or you can have your key re programmed for around £80 main dealer.
