'knocked out' as in been in a boxing match, or something to do with the 'knock sensor'? 'Knocked out is not a known automotive term. Anything you want to know can be found here with the right words.

honestly do not know as i have never seen a warm up valve ,i can only sumise that it provides hot air to the inlet manifold for use in extreme cold so yes it must be possible just to leave it off
