SOURCE: Nissan Sentra 2000 model. Thick White smoke coming out of exhaust

White smoke is caused by coolant or water coming out the tail pipe. There is a chance that the white smoke was caused by water splashing up from a puddle onto the exhaust pipe. Keep an eye on the coolant level in the radiator in any event.

Let us know how it goes or if the problem persists. We're looking forward to how things go for you.

SOURCE: Nissan Almera Tino Diesel 2.1 - Temperature control not working

Hi there, very common on these vehicles, you need to remove the heater cotrols and check that the cable hasn't come out, usually the clips that hold the cables in place break causing the heaters to not work properly, Nissan do modified clips now to stop it from happening, it may need a cable too if its too far bent, hope this helps.

SOURCE: Clutch shudder and loose gears

It sounds to me like the clutch is slipping or it was not properly adjusted. I would take it back and tell them to take it out for a drive around the block. If they still refuse to do anything about it, take it to another garage and get their opinion. Better yet, get a written estimate. Then take it back to the garage that put the clutch in and tell them either fix the problem for free or you are going to take it elsewhere to get it fixed and sue them in small claims court. I do know that when i replaced my clutch, you need to have about a 100 mile break in. But still, the gears should not be loose and it should shudder. If anything, a new clutch will grab hard with very little play untill it is broke in.

My 2004 NISSAN Almera Tino manual starts but when I accelerate, the fire goes off.

Question edited for full 'year make model'.
Question moved to Nissan.

You need a mechanic with a scan tool to see why. A pro grade scanner can record what happens at the moment it shuts off.

It appears to be a known issue.

My almera tino has suddenly started to over heat even thou the water and oil levels are fine would this be a problem with the thermostat ?

doubt it --- for sudden problems check items like fan operation if electric, viscous fan hub if fitted, blocked radiator fins / corroded fins, failed cat converter blocking exhaust.
run the fault codes to check for any sensor failure.

Sw p130

A P0130 fault is typical, and represents "02 Sensor Circuit Malfunction (Bank I Sensor 1)" It will NOT go away until fixed. This is not a safety issue, but an emissions related issue. Fuel economy and performance can be impacted and if allowed to persist for a long time, damage to the catalytic converter may result. Replacing a cat converter can be expensive repair. If your state does emissions testing as part of regular vehicle inspection, you will probably fail.
