My honda makes a high-pitched noise when I turn on my AC?

The noise comes when I the car is on and I am at a traffic light. The noise goes away when I turn the car off or when I start driving again. I think it might be something related to the coolant issue (too low?) as it used to make similar noise when I turned on the heater during winter. My mechanic tightened some screw and said that the coolant was leaking slowly.

You may have a clogged heater core, leaking heating cores still provide heat.

Yes, your theory sounds right. You'll need to remove the blower motor or a cover on it to visualize the squirrel cage and remove whatever is causing the noise. In some vehicles there is a cover under the hood, which when removed, will allow you to inspect the blower housing. If no such cover, you'll need to remove the blower motor.

yes, this is the case of a failed throttle body, in which case it needs replaced, the car is getting too much fuel causing the high idle. this needs replaced asap. you could proably find a small independant honda shop that could do the work for less.

You need to have the brakes inspected. This noise is the brake pad wear warning tab hitting the brake rotor.;

I got a Civic '02 the drl sign lights up and loud noise is coming from the glove compartment area. After investigation I found out the right light is not on while the left is fine (when the drl sign shows...

The DRL stands for daytime running lights. There is an electronic module that controls the operation of this that is located under the dash, which is probably where your noise is coming from. The noise goes away when you turn your headlights on because the DRL will disengage. I have replaced these before on civics and it should cure your problem. When ordering your part ask for a "daytime running light module". Hope this helps.

V-6 engine noise

You could have a worn serpentine belt, and or bad idler pully bearing or a bad serpentine belt tensioner. With that anount of miles and years in the truck, it wouldn't hurt to change all. A good thing to check if it is the belt is to spray some water on the belt while the engine is running. If the noise goes away then it's your belt and while the belt is off, it's a good time to check the pully bearings.
Good luck and hope this helps.

High Pitched noise

I had a high pitch noise, didn't sound like it came from the "underside". Turns out it was one of fans that had little chips in the blades? My Audi dealer replaced it, and it's fine now.
