Had new links put on still clunks

I had the tie rods replaced and still have the noise. The shocks pass the "bounce test". Can it still be the shocks??

I had the same problem with my 2002 Town and Country Limited. I took it to the mechanic and had the sway bar links and ball joints replaced and still had the same clunking noise when going over bumps at low speeds. The van sounded great on the highway, but country roads were horrible. I was about to replace the struts and pay another 700 dollars when i read somewhere that the sway bar bushings could wear and cause the noise. I took it to the mechanic and he said absolutely not it would be a waste of money. Being the stubborn guy I am, I went to NAPA and bought the two bushings for 12 dollars and replaced them myself in an hour. I took the van for a test ride and the noise is completely gone. Please ignore your mechanic and replace the bushings ASAP! Pretty cheap try even if it doesn't work.

I had to replace my front sway bar 'D' mount bushings 3 times on the 2002 T&C Limited (every 40K). If the clunk you are hearing is from a one wheel bump or a sharp turn (left or right, does not matter) it may be the swaybar bushings. If you hear it when you go over a 2 wheel bump (eg: speed braker), it may be something else.

My "clunk" noise was fixed by replacing sway bar bushings - easy fix and the expensive parts were only $13!

I replaced my front end struts because they were noisy; after they were noisy in another completely different and annoying way, but still terribly noisy. They were warrantied 'out', and a tie rod changed and the noise is gone.

How many miles? I suspect the issue may be the shocks, the factory shocks wear out very quickly on these vans.

Clunking noise when turning steering wheel going slow around corner

A lot of these Chrysler Town and Country vans had issues with the front stabilizer bar end links, usually you wont feel them move if you try to move them by hand, but they will make an awful noise clunk noise when turning or going over bumps slowly, i would suggest replacing the end links and that should take car of your clunking issue. Also the front lower control arm bushings separate as well and can cause this noise as well.... but i would replace the end links as a first step and go from there.... Hope this helps..

Clunking noise front passenger when i hit a bump

It's unlikely to be a ball joint on an '05. Make sure the mechanic jacks the car up under the lower control arm then checks radial and axiel (up and down). The sway bar links are bad about making noise.

Clunking noise in the front right when coming to a stop

first off the alt. belt is too tight. loosen it. should go away. and if its a clunk in the frount end i would guess it is your struts or bushings or both.

2002 clunking problm

Check the macpherson struts to ensure they are not loose.  One way to check is visually in the engine compartment.  Check the top of the struts to ensure the nuts are not loose.  Another is to raise the side of the van where you hear the clunk.  Raise it so the wheel is off the ground.  Grasp and shake the strut to see if it is loose.  The struts should not be loose, but you never know.  As the strut is certainly ivnolved in bumps and rotates when the wheel turns, I would check there since you have already explored the bushings and links.

Clunk noise from front left suspension

My guess is a strut bushing/bearing, but have your front end checked out by good shop to make sure it isn't something else more dangerous.
