You broke it. Driving with the oil light on was VERY poor judgement. A red light means "STOP". You probably ran the engine without oil and the main/rod bearings started overheating and destroying themselves (the screeching you heard). Starting up again and continuing to drive without oil finished the destruction. It doesn't matter how much oil you put in it now, the crankshaft is frozen in position, and the starter cannot turn the engine over.
Sorry, you need another engine.

SOURCE: 96 lincoln town car- loud humming noise

I had experienced the same problem with my 93 TC. I'll try to make it short. Replace the Idle Control Valve. Cost me $50 at AutoZone. It has a electronic plunger that has a rubber o ring on the end of it. It separates two air chambers inside the valve. When the rubber gets old and the plunger is suppose to cut off the air coming in from one chamber to the other, the air gets sucked between the chambers across the old rubber causing the humming noise. That is also why the engines revs up and down and wont idle right. It is located between the firewall and the back of the motor just to the left (drivers side) of the throttle control assembly. When you look up on the internet on how to replace it, it will tell you to remove all the housing surrounding the wiper blade control arms and assembly so that you can access it. If you take your time, just remove some of the hoses and wires connected around it and you can access it without removing all that ****. Only has two screws to it that point up and can be reached with a ratchet and extension. Car runs great now and finally got rid of that noise.

SOURCE: 93 lincoln town car leaking antifreeze down back of engine

there is a small heater hose on the pass side rear from the firewall(heater core) to the intake manifold. the plastic manifolds have a tendency to split where the hose fitting goes into the intake. If that is where it is leaking the manifold needs replacement.

SOURCE: battery light just came on but it cant be my alt

The battery light trips when it detects an issue with the charging system. Very rarely, the battery light can trip if there's an issue with the PCM, but this is very rare.

Take a voltmeter with the car off and measure the voltage on the leads of the batter, should be around 12V+-.2. With the car running, measure again and this time it should read 13V-14V. If it does read 13V-14V then it means that the alternator is working. If it is below 12V, then it means your alternator is not charging the battery properly. If it's above 14V, then it means your alternator is overcharging and damaging the battery.

Oil filter leaking i did got new oil filter but still leaking

Hi

Are you sure its the oil filter? it could be the oil filter gasket, some models/ not all vw have a second gasket seperate from the oil filter itsself, the other thing is the oil could be leaking from the top of the engine but then dripping off the filter making you think that, that is the cause.

Is the oil filter to the rear of the engine or up front? what model, year and engine size?
Regards
Dan

Oil pressure low light came on after oil yesterday.

Make sure your oil filter is not leaking & that your drain plug is not loose. Also there is an oil sender switch near the oil filter. Make sure the wire is connecting good. If this fails you may have to replace the oil sender switch or put another oil pressure guage on it to ascertain the actual oil pressure. Make sure you have enough of the proper weight oil in the car i.e. 5W30. Good luck!

Car wont start, acts like battery is dead. battery shows full charge. full lights, buzzers, etc. put it on charger-didnt start...cleaned cable connections-didnt start...tried to jump with truck-didnt...

Check the battery +12v power connection to the starter is in good order,
Check the ground connection between the battery negative and the engine/starter motor is robust and intact.
If no problem with above, replace the starter motor.

Changed oil, filter came off while driving, didnt run hot but stopped and wont start again

does it turn over at all? Or does starter just click? Oil may have dripped on wiring or in solenoid. If starter and motor turn over fine but won't start than I don't think the problem is related and it is just a coincidence. If you have lost all of your oil while driving, than it means your motor is seized and you will have to put in more oil and use a prybar and socket and turn the motor over manually by crankshaft pulley to break the piston loose
