2006 pt cruiser idles high with no pcv valve hose connected

Changed the head gasket on the engine. When all back together the engine would not start unless the hose to the pcv valve was pulled. Engine starts and idles high, but when pcv valve hose connected back the engine dies. Computer said cam shaft or crank shaft sensor was the problem. Changed them both and computer says the same. Engine runs great with the hose off the pcv valve. Any suggestions to get this car running smooth with hose to pcv valve connected and check engine light to go off?

Replace the PVC valve, it's probably clogged.

What would cause the oil to build up on valve cover gasket center bolt 2004 PT Cruiser 4.0l engine?

I'm pretty sure Chrysler never put a 4.0L engine in a PT Cruiser (V6? V8?). And since the valve cover gasket is located between the valve cover and the cylinder head, there is no bolt that holds just the valve cover gasket in place - all the bolts hold the valve cover in place. If there is excess oil around one of those bolts, you have a break in the gasket (or a bad gasket if the gasket is for the bolt only) or the bolts are not tightened to specification.

Good Day, my Corsa is got a high Idling and replaced all sensors on intake and throttle. Still Idling high and workshop light came on. What can the problem be. Please assist me - Thank you.

The cause of high idle are vacuum leaks or a bad or dirty Idle air control. Check pcv valve to see if its working properly. pinch off the hose that supplies the PCV valve. The engine speed should drop slightly. If the engine returns to a normal idle speed, the PCV valve should be replaced. The Idle air control regulates engine rpms.

Idle goes up and down, check engine light on, brakes hard to push

Check engine for vacuum leaks at all hoses, hose connections, intake gasket etc. I have also seen retarded engine timing produce low vacuum. If no leaks, check anything in control system that controls timing...however, I believe you will find a leak before you need to go there. Also check Idle control valve and egr valve for malfunction or blockages.
