Lincoln mkx gps voice prompt does not work

The gps voice prompts stopped working. How do I get them started again? The voice prompts are "on" and the volume is up.

So many parameters are monitored by the engine light and its system.
From O2 sensors to a misfire to even a gas cap not on correctly.

One cannot troubleshoot if the light if it comes on and back off intermittently.
Once it comes on and stays on can it be checked.

But, just a hunch...try putting in a tank of high test gasoline that has NO alcohol in it.

Check Engine lights are notorious for coming on due to alcohol being burned and that fuels ineffeciency.

I wouldn't expect the BCM. The wiper motor and the park switch are integral to the motor. You can have a broken plastic part on the arm pivots causing the problem.

Lincoln mkx 2011 camera problem
I don't know if your vehicle is still under warranty, that you should know or call your dealership. But it could be a fuse, but I would take it to your dealership to have it checked out and there are no other problems ie wires, etc.

THX navigation system in 2007 Lincoln MKX
Could be mute controls for the telephone. The voice for the Navigation is adjusted separately from the radio volume. If any work was done on the vehicle, like a battery disconnect, then radio controls may need to be reset.

You need to toggle through the Menu to things like screen brightness for the Navigation.

You also have a speed sensitive radio and the volume controls could be affected by these settings.

My OnStar navigation no longer gives voice prompts for turns and such. Was working fine, radio mutes down but then no voice prompts play. Just started in middle of a drive. How do I get the audio voice...
I was told by on star that if you leave the drivers door open for 90 seconds and then lock all of the doors and wait until the next day the system will reset itself. I know this sounds like smoke and mirrors but it does work. Please let me know. Hope this helps.

Can you flat tow a 2007 Lincoln MKX?
The 2007 Lincoln MKX is definitely towable "4 down". According to the owners manual: The ignition switch needs to be in the accessory position (position 2 of the 4 possible positions) so that the steering wheel is able to turn to let the front wheels track the towing vehicle. The transmission needs to be in "N" so that the engine's disconnected. The parking brake needs to be off, and the engine should be run for 5 minutes before starting out and "at fuel stops". This makes the vehicle a good vehicle to tow along with you behind your motorhome. The folks at Blue Ox make an excellent tow "baseplate" that is practically invisible yet hooks up easily to the motorhome. The BX2192 package is made specifically for the '07 to '10 MKX. It works beautifully with my '07!

My gps voice does not work.
I'am not familiar with your exact model year system. I do know that the voice recognition is fiber optically controlled among other command system functions. If you have sound and your c.d. player and phone work the system is working fiber optically. I think you have a bad microphone. Does your teleaid and roadside system work? They all use the same mic. Try calling roadside and see if they can hear you. The mic should be located in your over head compartment under the vent screen. They were a comman failure in previous models. I hope I have been helpful.
