SOURCE: HELP!!!!need timing marks for pajero 94 2.8 auto *** import

there is a little mark on the crankshaft which you line up with the 'o' mark on the casing ..
remove the cam cover and look at the cam you should see a nob on the cam about 3 th lob and that should be facing just left of the engine ..
if you have a turbo there is two notchs on the injection pump pully ..if turbo there is a 't' mark on the rear of the cover the notch on the pully should mark up with the 't'..
the timing is set..

SOURCE: cant get the timing marks to line up

THE TIMING CHAIN HAS TO HAVE SKIPPED A TOOTH UNLESS THE DISTRIBUTOR HAS BEEN DISTURBED. IF THE DISTRIBUTOR WAS REMOVED THEN IT NEEDS TO BE REMOVED AND PUT BACK IN PLACE CORRECTLY BY FINDING TOP DEAD CENTER ON THE COMPRESSION STROKE ON CYLINDER NUMBER ONE AND HAVE THE ROTOR CONTACT POINT AT THAT PLUG WIRE WHEN YOU DROP THE DISTRIBUTOR BACK IN PLACE.

Kia pregio 2.7 diesel. How can I remove injector pump?

I don't know - sorry.

Just wanted to advise you; If it is an injector pump you should before removing it, learn how to replace it. An injection pump has to be precisely timed to the engine and sometimes special tools are needed and reference to a good repair manual.
If this applies to your vehicle set up, you will probably need the services of a diesel specialist or dealer.

If your vehicle is a common rail diesel type it doesn't have an injection pump but does have a high pressure diesel pump that will not need timing to the engine.
If the pump of either type is failing, once removed they should be carefully flushed so any swarf or debris they contain is visible to careful inspection. If swarf is present the injectors should be serviced and the pipework and fuel rail thoroughly flushed.

Before working on a diesel fuel system it is very important the area of repair is clean and free of water and as the work progresses each pipe end and fuel orifice is covered or plugged to prevent the ingress of even the tiniest particle of dirt. Using a compressed air blowgun during reassembly makes doubly certain there is no dirt inclusions...

On the bt 50 im sure it's the 2000 model , single cam how do you set the pump gears inside the front cover pulleys to advance the diesel pump ? A picture would help . Thank you .

you don't advance a diesel pump
there is a set ignition point for diesel in a diesel engine and any attempt to alter that point results is severe piston failure
if it is not a common rail system, the pump will have multiple injector pipes out the back and there will be an initial timing mark on the gear and then a final timing set by a gauge used by diesel specialist shops pictures are in the workshop manual

Does a 2004 prado have acam belt or a chain belt

Hi Waynee,
You forgot to say which engine is in your vehicle?
The HZ engine has timing gears and a timing belt (That's a diesel engine) the belt drives the injector pump
The KZ engine also has gears and a timing belt,. (Also a diesel engine) same as above.
The RZ engine uses just a timing belt (And that one is a petrol engine)
