Yea its what connects the steering wheel with a ribbon for a solid contact and its is always being tested to make sure there is a connection.

I have a 99 crown vic and can't seem to find the

The car is designed not to spin it's wheels when taking off. If you want to make it do that you need to either change the powertrain programming or replace some powertrain parts.

2003 crown victoria p71 ex police car

I would take it out right away, you don't want to be charged for impersonating a police officer. There is no reason to keep it and if you do you will have to answer why every time you turn around and get stopped.

Air bag warning light flashes on my 90 crown vic. some say there is a corroded connection on the bumper, what do you look for to correct?

The light is on because there is a problem with the air bag system. When the air bag light is on the system is not working and will not deploy in the event of an accident. When the air bag light is on the system has set a code in the computer a scanning device can retrieve the code. The code will give you a clue where the problem is.

2000 Ford Vic PI 4.6L no hazard lights, no headlights, no turn signals, no interior lights/dashlights. Does have bypass lights and brake lights. Checked fuses and they are fine...any ideas?

i work on plenty of police and non police crown vics(mostly 2003 and newer) but i am not 100% sure if this car has a LIGHTING CONTROL MOBULE. the newer ones do. this module controls the headlights, interior lights, turn signals.etc. it is a black box located above the brake pedal but off towards the pass. side.not far from the OBD connector.i wanna say it has 2 or 3 electrical plugs. it would also help if you get a WIRING DIAGRAM. i dont know how much they cost but maybe try swapping in a used or alot of times ive been able to open up the plastic "case" and look to see if anything on the circuit board looks burnt. let me know if this helps!

1998 crown vic air suspension compressor does not pump.

Sounds like the problem is in the air bag suspension, not the compressor. The air bags shouldn't be losing air when the car sits. The compressor adjusts the suspension level according to the load. The air bags have a valve similar to a blow up raft that allows air to pass through both ways. If when the car is running the compressor is constantly running and not turning off, the issue is within the air bags and/or the air line.

99 crown vic police interceptor steering wheel??

i have ran into 2 issues in these vehicles---if it binds while sitting still also, check the steering shaft, i have found the u-joints in the shaft tighten up and binds dangerously tight---if they are free, sounds like you may have a steering box issue or restriction in a line---hope this was helpful!!
