Not fuel pump relay switch , the inertia fuel cut off switch . You vehicle does have a relay but it is located in the fuse box (BJB) battery junction box . IF you don't see inertia switch in the trunk look on front right passenger kick panel or behide it . What is the problem you having ? No start ? and you think it is because of no fuel ?

SOURCE: Engine won't start, turns over, but no fuel

Yes, For the fuel pump or Filter, it is uaually under the floor board under the car, It can be on either side, track your fuel line from the tank. Very Simple. I don't know why Ford does this but they do. SECOND: Yes, Look Under the Drivers Seat. THIRD. The Fuse box can be one of two places. Under the Hood, Or when you open the drivers door, Their you are. Not where you used to look. Up under the dash. Next to where Air should blow on your feet. Good Luck.

SOURCE: where is the fuel pump in 2002 Mercury Sable

it is in the gas tank you have to drop the tank and it goes down in the top although i would locate the filter on the frame rail first and replace it its cheaper and i reccomend you replace it anyway with a pump change

FUEL PUMP HOW DO U KNOW WHEN IT NEEDS TO BE REPLACED

Sounds more like a bad fuel injector issue. Not enough info to diagnose. If less than 100,000 miles, then probably _not_ fuel pump.

Mercury sable 1999 while driving stopped at light engine shut down an will just turn over not restart

The first thing you must do is check for fuel delivery, you may have run out of gas even if the gage says there is fuel in it.

2002 mercury sable no start no fuel got spark

Grap the from of the seat on either side and pull up forcefully. The retainers will pump and you will be able to remove the seat.

It is rarely the module on these cars. And more likely the pump. However if the module smells burnt, looks corroded, or has corroded pins in the connectors than your on the right track.

1999 Cougar: where is the fuel pump relay located on a 99 mercu...

ok your cut off switch is under the glove box in the passenger footwell in the UK version, and mine did not have any further relay until the wiring hit the fuel pump itself, i had been told it was behind a panel in the back under the rear passenger windows, but having removed the entire inner trim of the rear of the car could find no relay at all. my problem was not relay in the end but a dead fuel pumpconfirmed by checking that i9 was getting voltage delivered to the pins of the pump plug when ket switch in position 2 as that is when the pump primes the engine

1999 Meercury Sable. No electric to fuel pump

There are 2 fuses and a relay involved in this circuit but the lines that run power to the pump run partially exposed under the vehicle as well. Check the Interior Fuse, check the Fuse in the box under the hood and check to make sure you have voltage at the fuse under the hood. If these are good check for voltage on the wires going to the fuel pump at the fuel pump itself. You can do this with a multimeter and thumb tack. Use the thumb tack to puncture the insulation in the wires and test for voltage. If you don't have voltage there, start working your way back 12" at a time until you find the point where you have voltage to isolate the area of the break.

My 1999 sable overheated and I was told that the fuel pump needs reset to get it running. where do I did it?

For a while Ford put a reset switch /cutoff switch in the glove compartment. You can check for it there. Otherwise you may need to get a book on your vehicle at the local autoparts store to locate the switch.
