09 Captiva turbo diesel is leaking oil on. Turbo to engine is it a seal or something more thanks

there are two oil lines to the turbo
one line is a pressure line that delivers engine oil at pump pressure to the turbo
the other is a low pressure line that drains the oil back to the sump
determine which line is leaking and replace or fix and replace the gaskets or "O" rings

Dodge 1991 cummins 250 turbo diesel engine. Suddenly we get a fuel smell while driving. Yesterday the smell was like standing over the nozzle while filling the diesel tank. No leakage undernieth when...

Check your fuel lines, hoses, fuel filter, injector pipes, injectors, but most likely a worn seal on the front of the injection pump and fuel leaking out telltale/bleed hole.

Have a good poke around all the fuel system and you will eventually find it.

How to change vacuum pump on 1990 dodge 250 diesel

The vacuum pump in the Dodge W150-350 Cummins Diesel is integral with the power steering pump on the driver's side of the engine. remove it as one unit from the accessory drive unit. Then you have to press the gear off the shaft to separate the power steering pump from the vacuum pump

My toyota 3C turbo diesel engine the turbo compressor is flooding of oil . I can.t trace where it is coming from That is why I am searching service manual for this turbo charger. 12ct

Hi,

If your turbo housing is getting flooded with oil the it can only come from the shaft seal on the inside of the turbo.

You will need to remove it and replace the shaft seal.

2001 dodge 2500 diesel oil leak in front of power

The power steering pump is piggie backed to the vacuum pump. The seal in the back of the vacuum pump has engin oil under presure behind it cousing a leak that gets worse over time. Cummins make a seal kit to fix this leak.

1999 dodge diesel 2500 seems to have a fuel related problem.

Please clarify the "loosing power" does it lose power and shut down or does it loose power but will idle? Your Cummins is electronically controlled so oil condition is important, fuel leaks, oil leaks, leaks in the air ducting between the turbo and the intake, sensors, water in the fuel. Do you get an engine light when this trouble happens? Dodge uses a lift pump to carry fuel to the the injection pump, is it working?

Oil leak

There's not much over there that can leak except for the filter. That diesel oil is heavy and persistent too. It'll drip from those steering linkages forever after a filter change. Check your turbo fittings too. It gets oil and then sends it back to the motor.

Leak on the front of the Engine

Before replacing the timing cover gasket, crawl underneath the truck and spray everything with brake parts cleaner, then wipe with rags until dry & clean. Start the truck, then crawl under the front of the truck, using a flashlight to spot leaks. Chances are the leak is the seal between the vacuum pump and power steering pump. If this is the case, contact Pete Gould at fixinrams.com. He can sell you an uprated seal kit, or provide you with a totally remanned vacuum pump reasonably. The vacuum pump runs about $375, replacing front cover gasket is about $1100. Hope this helps
