Question about 2001 Toyota Echo
Battery died on nov 10th, got a new one on the 11th, died while driving down the road today, nov 14th. i have had a belt that has been squealing on the car for over a year now. could it be the alternator belt finally **** the bed? im clueless and dont want to spend a fortune at the mechanic. any help is much apreicated!
For 2 batteries to die so quickly, u need to have your charging system checked out. Any big parts store will do a free system check, they want to sell u parts. Of course, u don't have to buy anything, but u will have an idea what is wrong, and what to do to fix it. It's probably the alternator as u suspect, and as far as the squealing belt, it needs to be adjusted, or if the echo has a auto. tensioner, u probably should replace the belt.
