Location of rheostate
SOURCE: 2003 Ford F150 Heater fan problem
The problem is the Blower Motor Resistor Pack is defective. Purchase the Pack so you will know what you are looking for. It can be located in a few locations. It can be behind the glove box, behind the kick panel on the passenger side, or next to the blower motor. I am almost certain yours is located behind the glove box but not 100% sure. Hope this helps you.
Testimonial: "clay58 good job on the resistor. Right on info. "
SOURCE: heater valve is not getting any vacuum
Try removing the vacuum hose at the back of the vacuum pump start the engine and see if you can feel it pulling a vacuum it should **** you're finger in a bit or if you have a vacuum gage hook that up and see what it readsshould be at least 12-15 in vacuum. Also is the heat stuck in defrost mode ?
SOURCE: Where Is The rheostat located for the a/c???
probably the blower resister located in the box near the blower motor
SOURCE: locate and replacement of front heater rheostat
If your'e talking about the resistor...It's inside the engine compartment by the left strut tower.
Testimonial: "Yes, that is what i meant. I had it relapced in 20 minutes. The Haynes book was useless in an accurate location. Thank you very much"
SOURCE: my heat blower does not work in positions 1,2,3 on
you can do it you will find it down by the passenger foot are just under the glove box.it has two screws holding it in place and one electrical plug. note if fourth speed is also not working this means a fuse is blown out the fourth speed is wired through a fuse out under the hood fuse panel. good luck please comment on this if it helps you thanx.
