Low coolant light comes on

Check the coolant first. Add as needed. Once full. heat it up in the driveway and check for leaks. 3.4 montana, I would guess the water pump. Change the T stat also.

Pushing coolant into the reservoir is a symptom of a bad head gasket. Have the coolant check for combustion gasses. Easy test.

sounds like thermostat is sticking or cooling fan or or fan sensor is bad....but first have you checked the coolant level,,could be low....hope this helps and good luck.

With the car running because it reduces the back pressure have someone that knows how to do it remove the cap from the radiator and see if the radiator is full, not the bottle but the radiator itself. If the antifreeze is not moving from the bottle to the radiator it will overheat. Not having heat unless you rev the engine makes me think the radiator is either not circulating the water or it is low.

Hello, if you've changed the pump. cap. and t-stat and its overheating still i need to say that just because you replaced those parts doesnt necissarily mean they work. Im mainly talking about the t-stat and cap. was this your first time installing a tstat? They go in a certain way. Make sure you put it in the right direction. Your vehicles engine might require you to purge your coolant system of all air. On some cars air will remain trapped in the area right at the tstat causing it not to work therefore not opening up and no t circulating the coolant. I would start there myself. If thats not the case, next id flush the radiator. I would like to know what the problem symptoms were wich led yoy to replace those parts please.

make sure coolant is in radiator....if its full, thermostat may need to be changed.....if thats not it check heater coil

Sounds like maybe the coolant is low or out. thats the first thing to check. If the coolant was full, then the heater would be roasting hot.
