Why would antifreeze leak on right side of the engine in a 2001 hyundai elantra?

Antifreeze is all over the right side of the engine. I do not see any holes in the hoses.

There is nobody online that can tell you where your antifreeze is leaking from. If the hoses are not leaking, it could be anything from a leaking radiator, to a bad water pump, a breach in the head gasket, or a hole in a freeze plug. You simply need to LOOK to see where it is leaking from. That cannot be done over the internet.

SOURCE: 2001 Hyundai Elantra door locking problem

there is a short or a signal from the un-locking switch that is triggering your locks.

you have a switch manually to lock and un-lock your doors, the unlocking circuit is making contact.

you can try playing with your switch to un-short the switch or open it up ang check it.

check for any circuit brakers near the fuse box, if theres any of them reset them by introducing a paperclip in the small hole and press, you will hear a click.

SOURCE: 2001 elantra master power window switch

at the bottom and top of the switch there are retaining tabs. you can try to pop it out at those points with a flathead screw driver, but it is sometimes easier to just remove the door panel to get it out.

What type of antifreeze for a 2001

A 50/50 mix is a ideal. Antifreeze has two benefits when properly mixed. It protects the coolant from freezing down to -40 degrees Fahrenheit and it helps remove heat from the engine. Diluted coolant in the short term is not harmful. Long term it could lead to the accelerated corrosion of vital cooling system components. Anti freeze also offers lubrication to the water pump. Less concentration will equal less lubrication. If your son is adding water than there is a leak. Adding water until the leak is fixed is fine as long as the temps don't get below freezing and the problem is addressed as soon as possible.

I changed the thermostat and put in a new radiator on my 99 hyundai elantra. It drove fine i guess for about a week, but then started overheating again and stopped on me! Any suggestions? I smelled some...

You have some kind of a leak in the cooling systemDo you smell antifreeze when your inside the vehicle dose the heat work alright It may also be an engine vacuum leak you need to start it look under the hood and listen to where the hissing noise is comeing from if its cooling you should see antifreeze see if the floor is wet inside it could be the heater core and check vacuum lines for splits cracks on disconnected lines Ycould check to see if the radiator is holding pressure take a towel and turn the cap see if its under pressure but its going to be hot don;t get burned

Antifreeze turned brown & came out

Looks like somebody put a DEEPWELL water in your radiator to top it up! Drain the entire coolant in your cooling system( w/ ur heater on) and put a clean water, run the engine for a couple of minutes and drain it out! Do that 3 times till the water you drain comes out CLEAR! Put a new ANTiFREEZE coolant! Taaah!

Can you advice me how do I refill engine coolant in 2001 hyundai elantra? Also, when I turn A/C on it blows hot air, I bought this interdynamic EZ fill, the guage shows filled...what should I do?

look on bottom of radiator on the drives side of the car. Using a large philips screw driver turn srcrew counter clockwise until coolant begins to drain. afterwards. close screw and refill 50/50 water to antifreeze.

2001 Hyundai Accent. Heating and stalls

If the water tends to keep going down then there has to be a leak somewhere. Try also looking at the hose coming from the overflow tank and see if the hose might be kinked. You might also be blowing antifreeze out the tailpipe. Take a look and if there is bluish white smoke then you have confirmed that theory,
