That often has to do with emissions problems. Has it been raining lately? The check engine light on my Saturn will come on when the humidity is high after heavy rains.

CHeck engine AND VSA light came on in my car 2003 Highlander

Hello, and welcome to FixYa. Without knowing the actual 'code' (the reason for the light being on), it is hard to state with any accuracy.

However...we see quite a bit, here in my shop, Highlanders with the Check Engine light on, right after an oil change. Often, whoever changes the oil sometimes checks the air filter, and, when they open the filter box, they knock off a vacuum hose going to the air filter box. This could be your problem.

Go out to the vehicle, pop the hood, and check the black box that holds the air filter, on the passenger side front of the engine compartment; look to see if a black rubber hose is not connected. If it is off, reconnect it and drive the vehicle 10 miles, shut it off, and drive another 10 miles. This may extinguish the light.

I hope that this info helps you out. Thanks for choosing FixYa for assistance.

Changed o2 sensor 14 mths ago.2002 v6 xl7 5 speed only 60,000 miles. only owner. check light on again thought I only had 1 sensor.Getting plugs changed,Changed air filter again yesterday. i change oil and...

Well your exhaust system may still be under the 8-80 warranty, so I would check with the dealer. My 01 had 4 sensors, an upper and lower on each side. Yours has at least 2 so replacing one did not update the other, and your converter(s) may have failed. So I would start by checking your VIN with a dealer to see if you are still under the 8 year/80,000 mile warranty on the exhaust system. If not I would have them do a diagnostic on it to see what is bad.

Service Engine Soon Light

On all cars and trucks that are 1996 or newer they have a system called obd2 and the computer monitors anything thats plugged into it like sensors. The light is on because your computer has found a problem with 1 or more of them. If you want to know what area is having a problem you need to have the codes read by a obd2 scanner or code reader some auto part stores do this for free or oil
change store or mechanic shop

Oil

Check the oil level, check that there is no leak and that oil is not being consumed inside the engine.
If oil is low it can be because of a bad gasket, a broken oill filter, or engine is getting old and starts burning oil inside the cylinders, you see black smoke from exhaust when this happen.

If you just want to reset the warning you can unplug battery cables for ten minutes. You mey be asked car stereo security code when connecting back.

Engine light comes on after the car is driven about 10miles. Stays on until car is turned off. Just started yesterday.

How many miles are on your Honda? The light will come on every 10,000 miles to remind of scheduled maintenance (oil change, air filter etc...)
